Repairing my iPhone 3GS

I found this place which only charges you 4,800JPY (=60USD) for repairing my iPhone 3GS LCD.  I think that’s pretty cheap for a repairing a high tech machine.

I wanted to change the backplate to another color like red, but I could only find sites for the iPhone4 and none for the 3GS.  Darn.  

The store I mentioned will open a new branch in Shibuya next week, so I suppose I shall check this place soon.  But my biggest concern is “do I really need to fix my iPhone when I am thinking about buying a the Xperia next month?"  

Hmm, I think I have few more days to think about this.
